Palm Beach Gardens is northern Palm Beach County at its most relaxed and polished. The city is known for golf, with championship courses and gated club communities, along with resorts, shopping and green, landscaped streets. Many weddings here are resort celebrations that stretch across a weekend, or club receptions for families who live in the area. We've been DJing South Florida weddings since 1997, and we love the way Gardens weddings balance resort comfort with a real party.
Resort weddings and weekend celebrations
A resort wedding often means guests stay on-site for two or three days. Couples plan a welcome party, the ceremony and reception, and a farewell brunch, sometimes with golf or spa time in between. Music can tie the weekend together:
- Welcome party: a relaxed poolside or patio vibe, with conversation-level music and a microphone for a quick welcome toast.
- Ceremony: clear, wind-protected sound for vows on a lawn or terrace, with music timed to the aisle. See ceremony and cocktail-hour music.
- Reception: the main event, with introductions, dances, toasts and an open floor all night.
- Farewell brunch: easy acoustic or jazz in the background.
If you'd like music for more than the reception, let us know when you request a quote, and we'll talk through the options.

Golf and country club receptions
Gardens' golf and country clubs have elegant ballrooms and terraces overlooking the fairways. Like clubs everywhere, they run on schedules and rules:
- Vendor insurance. Clubs and resorts typically require a certificate of insurance. Starlight is insured, and we provide a COI on request.
- Load-in times. Clubs often host multiple functions. We arrive in the window we're given.
- End times. We pace the evening so the last dance lands perfectly within the schedule, and with our flat-rate, unlimited-time pricing there's never an overtime fee.
- Formality. We dress for the room and keep our setup clean and discreet.
Ballrooms with airwalls
Resort ballrooms are frequently divisible with movable airwalls, which means another event may be happening on the other side. Airwalls block sight but not all sound. We set levels with that in mind and coordinate with the banquet team so both events go smoothly. Neutral resort ballrooms are also the perfect canvas for uplighting; our color guide can help you pick a palette.
Garden and tented receptions
True to its name, Palm Beach Gardens is green. Garden lawns and tented receptions are lovely from late fall to spring. For tents, plan power carefully (catering, lighting and sound all draw from the same source), and talk to your rental company about a level floor for dancing. Summer tents need fans or cooling and a clear storm plan.

A mix of guests
Gardens weddings often blend local families, seasonal residents and guests flying in through Palm Beach International. Multi-generation crowds are common. We build playlists that move through the eras and blend genres, so grandparents, parents and friends all spend time on the floor. Our must-play songs by era guide and do-not-play list tips are helpful starting points.
The trip north
Palm Beach Gardens is about 80 miles north of our Miami base, so we treat travel seriously: generous buffers, early arrival and a full sound check before your guests arrive. We confirm load-in details with your resort or club the week of the wedding.
Season
The season runs roughly late fall through spring, which is also golf and resort high season, so popular dates book early. Summer weddings can offer more flexibility at resorts, with the usual South Florida caveats: heat, afternoon storms and hurricane season from June to November.
Pricing
Our posted pricing is the same throughout South Florida: $800 Sunday, $1,000 Friday, $1,200 Saturday, flat-rate with unlimited time. Uplighting is $300 with a DJ package, and the photo booth, a hit at resort weddings, is $100 off with a DJ. See our wedding DJ cost guide.

Planning around a golf or resort schedule
Resorts and golf communities often have their own rhythm, with tee times, other events and guest activities all happening on the same property. It helps to plan around that:
- Confirm your event's space and times. Resort event spaces may host another event earlier the same day, which can affect setup time. Ask your venue when vendors can load in.
- Ask about outdoor sound limits. Lawns and terraces near guest rooms or residences may have earlier music cutoffs than indoor ballrooms.
- Coordinate with the event team. Resort catering and event staff usually run a tight schedule. We check in with them on arrival and keep the timeline in sync.
- Plan for guests who golfed that day. If your weekend includes a golf outing, the crowd may be tired or very ready to celebrate. Either way, pacing the night matters.
- Think about the after-party. If guests are staying on property, a lounge or after-party space can keep the night going after the main event ends, subject to resort rules.
Tell us the property and your full weekend plan when you request a quote, so we can make sure everything fits together.
